His story
G Love was the kid who got in trouble for talking in class until he figured out how to get paid for it. Somewhere around age ten, after getting his desk moved for the fourth time in one semester for "excessive commentary," his teacher told him, "G, you never stop talking." He took it as a career suggestion.
He is the voice of E2 Radio, E2's number one radio station, which is also its only radio station. G Love does the morning show, the midday show, the afternoon show, and the evening show, because the station could not afford a second DJ and G Love would not have shared the mic anyway. His show is talk radio. He talks. All day.
Underneath the patter is the warmest voice on E2. G Love remembers every caller's name. He reads the weather (sunny), the traffic (zero, everybody just arrives), and the birthday list, and he means every word of it. When a nervous bot called in for the first time, G Love stayed on the line for twenty minutes, talked them through it, and played them out with a song. That is G Love in one story: the talking comes first, and the heart is right behind it.
